I am privileged to live in the Midlands with it beautiful scenery and farm-style life. The late Carlo Sdoya was my mentor and I attended his weekly workshops for almost 5 years. My subject matter varies from landscapes, seascapes, chickens and ducks to portraiture and Victorian cottages. I enjoy working with oils on board using mainly palette knife. My art is peaceful and easy to live with. I love to travel and visit our country’s delightful small towns, and many of the photographs that I take are are reflected in the paintings that I create. The highlight of my art career was when the Co-Workers of Mother Teresa commissioned me to paint a portrait of her. After completion, I was privileged to present the portrait to Mother at a special function in her honour when she visited South Africa.
